I highly recommend it because you can witness stunning views. Cool spot to have lunch and just enjoy nature.
Beautiful views,great boardwalk. The bird watching is exceptional. Sometimes, the paths flood, so wear decent shoes. In some sections, dogs need to be on leash, but these areas are well sign-posted. It can be a short or a very long walk. Highly reccommended
This was a great place to start and finish our walk a loop from Otaihanga bridge and then out East.nnLovely setting, good facilities with the public toilets, and an easy stroll to the river mouth and the sand.
New Zealand just continious to amaze me,nnThis little treasure is a stone throw away from the neighbourhood. It feels surreal walking along the well maintained wooden pathways and gravel paths. The plant live is mostly indignious and a great effort is being made to rid the area of Alien plants.nnI take my hat off to those involved with the upkeep of this area.nnWe did not walk the whole route but will be back again to complete this route. The kids loved crossing the many bridges and wooden pathways, best was getting to the estruary and seeing all the bird live around.
Love this place, especially the new murals! I take my lizard down here to catch some sun and everyone is always polite and happy. Cute little park, lovely river, amazing native birds.
