Perfect beach for a dog get together check the dates, cause in high summer off lead dogs are only allowed at certain times. The water is nice and warm & it’s a pleasant spot to play. Kid and dog friendly, toilets easily accessible and a spot to buy coffee. Big enough to go for a walk in the beach too
I’m not a fan of swimming at this beach Stanmore Bay and Arkles Bay are much nicer but I absolutely love early morning walks here. It’s almost 6km end to end return from the bridge to the Scout Hall return, or take a small detour to pick up a coffee on the main street. Check the tides before you go as at high tide some parts are cut off. If you get there and it’s high tide just nip across the road to the estuary walk.
Such a lovely beach for everyone . Great for walking, watersports and just admiring the sea. Nice cafes and restaurants. Quite a busy spot by NZ standards....but thankfully not like a busy beach in the UK
My home, love loving here and enjoy the surroundings and little town centre. It has everything you need and more nice restaurants. Always one of my fav breaches
The weather is great. This is a must visit place for you to get out of town from Auckland. you can enjoy both the white sand long beach with blue sky. plus there are so many beach front delicious cafe and restaurants. also a nice stopover town when you drive to Northland
Lovely. Calming and soothing. Clean and well presented. Nature at its best and also an example, really, for many other places in the world when it comes to beaches, beach access roads, beach parking areas, beach alleys, and so on. Very, very nice, thank you everyone involved in emphasising and maintaining such natural beauties.
Such a lovely kiwi beach, the water is warm to dip your feet in, I would recommend swimming between the flags though as boats and currents can be unpredictable. All in all, a great summer location with so much room to spread out and have a good time
Beautiful beach opposite a small cute town. Very beautiful view from the hillside houses facing the Seaview.
Not too far away from CBD, about 35km or so. Can take the last exit before the toll. Nice long beach with white sand. Playground and public restrooms are available. Lovely to take a walk on the beach, with your loved ones. On a low tide the beach widened up, some nice photo spots.
one of the most beautiful beach of north of auckland , 35 minutes drive from auckland city across the orewa town centre . this is white sand beach . great for family ,kids and picnic . great play ground area , big trees , big car park .great for surfing lovers and jet ski riders
