One of the best surprises I have had during my travelling. Amazing view, really fotogenic.

Worth a stop to climb on the viewing platform. :
Sea and mountain views.nIn road and out road takes you to the wooden tower above the sea and returns you to the tarseal road.nThere is a distance diagram at the base covering London and Nelson as well as places in between.Interesting to study.nSea was wild and mountain was cloud covered. Storm was brewing.
Despite a dry weather road, it offers some amazing panoramic sea views across the Southern Taranaki Bight. A couple of data boards offer local maritime history, of the small adjacent bay being a landing place for coastal trading. Also explaining pier poles that remain. A rougher track drops below the brow of headland, nearly getting to the rocks. Above the carpark is a stout lookout platform.
