Onehunga Community Library was opened in December 2002.

Story

We are a medium sized library with a community focus. We offer a great selection of material, free internet and computer use, friendly staff and wonderful free events such as Storytimes and Wriggle and Rhume.
We'd love to meet you, so come in any time. :)

The library is very huge spacious with good welcoming staff. The have seating area in different corners and free wifi assess and computer service too. Peace environment to study and do laptop work.good outside view too

Great Library. Bright airy space with plenty of parking surrounding. Attached to the Onehunga Community Centre so lots of things happening nearby. There are building works going on beside the library at the moment so parking behind the library is not so easy.
Nice and quiet library next to bus stop station in onehunga. Staff are very helpful.
Staff is always friendly and well located near the ellerslie shops and swimming pool. We love going for a swim and then passing by the library with our boy. Might even stop for a snack.
Brilliant service,very warm,welcoming and helpful...Both comm centre and Library, both ladies were very nice.Special mention too Lady Librarian. Keep up the great service.

Poor selection of non fiction need to actually bring in new books rather than rely on the returns. Disappointing but staff are very helpful though.
