Onehunga Bay Reserve

This is a nice little reserve next to the motorway, but sheltered enough to be quiet. There's a sort of lake with a playground, and a bridge over the motorway to a coastal walk. The place is dog friendly, though they need to be leashed.nIt was an overcast day, but pretty popular.

Great place to take the kids and the dog. Off leash walking areas, great play park, and good facilities including benches and paths. All seems very well maintained. Cross the bridge if there's no water in the lagoon, and you can still find a good beach spot!

Good place to practice as shallow enough for kids to play in.nLots of dog walkers and grassy space to relax.

Well maintained park with beautiful sunset and lots of doggos around.nWe love coming here for a quick stroll with our dog in the evening. Everyone is super friendly.nnThe friendly people that always smiles and says hi, kids laughter, beautiful sunset. This is the real NZ vibe.
