Oliver's Bakery Whangamata is located on Aickin Road. Now Uptown in Whangamata, the street opposite Sunny ' s. Look for our bright yellow building.


Story

We specialise in Artisan stone baked breads for which we won 3 silver medals in the bakery of the year comp 2012. They have no preservatives, just flour, salt and water, all natural ingredients.
We also do Gourmet pies, the best in town eg Smoked Kahawai, Coromandel Mussel, Pork n Apple, Lamb n Mint, Butter Chicken as well as the kiwi fav's, Mince n cheese, Steak n Cheese, Mince and Steak Pies.
We roast our own Lamb and Beef (Which we love Rare) and use delicious Chicken Tenderloins for our Filled Rolls. Our touch of kiwiana is tying our Filled Rolls up with Flax.
We have delicious Danish pastries, (made from scratch) Blueberry and custard Muffins, Wonderful Damper and a large selection of cakes.

Amazing cinnamon bun, highly recommend!! Mussel pie was delish, tasted like mussels which is always a good sign. However bottom pastry could be a little more cooked. Fish pie the same.
Insanely the best bakery I've ever been too. Pastries are amazing , breads are divine and the coffee is just beautifully made. Will drive just to Whangamata for this food. You WILL NOT be disappointed.. AMAZING !!

Serving Allpress coffee which is my favourite. Lots of food choices from the cabinet. Clean, and the staff are friendly. We enjoyed our food!
Very popular bakery, local coffee shop off. There a freshly baked breads including croissants hot pies, muffins and sandwiches from french baguettes. Highly recommend this place easy to find bright yellow just off the main street.
Great pies and coffee but don't leave it too late or they will all be gone!
What happened to the pies? This place used to make fantastic artisan style pies. Large pies, and lovely flaky pastry. Now it feels commercial. The pies are smaller, the pastry isn’t much better than a Big Ben. To top it off, my steak and cheese had almost no cheese, my partner’s steak and mushroom had almost no mushroom. And both pies had a couple peas in it?? And my partner had one giant tough peace of steak… I don’t usually post harsh reviews but it’s in their best interest to read this.
Pies and sausage rolls were decent. Would recommend. Found this place by Google and it had the most reviews. Several people lined up when we went there
