We have used these guys twice in 3 months. Both times, the food was excellent. The batter on the fish was thick and crunchy. Chips were superb but too many. Has to be the best fish and chips in Whanga
Awesome food - best in town! Went above and beyond to serve me right before closing, which was so kind considering they have lives as well. Best burgers I’ve ever eaten. Will definitely be back .. maybe even tomorrow.
We wanted to give 20 out of town guests for our wedding weekend the true kiwi fush n' chups experience so placed a massive order with Estuary Takeaways to eat on Whangamata Beach and our guests *loved it*. The food was excellent, and the staff was so accommodating with my multiple changes and dietary restrictions even coeliacs gluten free. Thank you Estuary Takeaways!
Amazing fish and chips! The service was awesome! So friendly and felt like a true kiwi-owned store. Hard to find a store like this in these trying times but I really enjoyed their genuine hospitality and service. Highly recommended. So happy to find them off the beaten track.
My son and very pregnant daughter-in-law are down for the weekend. We had takeaways from The Estuary Store, snapper for me and veggie burgers plus onion rings and so many perfectly cooked chips, we could barely make it back from the beach, just moments away and across the road to their AirB&B. I can't recommend them highly enough. Brilliant! I nearly hired a kayak to paddle it off, but unfortunately it was too dark...honest.
Friendly customer service and meal was ready exactly the time they said. My meal exceeded expectations. Kumera chips were hand cut golden Kumera. Onions rings where battered and not the horrible ones from a packet. Fish and fish batter was delicious. Awesome takeaway shop and worth the drive over to the estuary. Thanks team!
Best fish and chips and best Hawaiian burger
Awesome burgers! I had the American which was sooo good, but the whole family enjoyed their feed... A variety of burgers, the freshest chips clean, good oil I think because they tasted so good, amazing fish and the best potato fritters! All of this in such good time... Ring ahead and you can order the specific time you would like it ready. Absolutely love that while I'm on holiday and I can eat so well.
Lots of chips but the gurnard fish tasted old with heavy batter.
The shop was open but the girl wouldn’t take my order because they were about to close. But took the order of the person in front of me. Very disappointing.
