We visited over the long weekend with our young family and had an incredible stay. Our motel unit was immaculate—it felt almost brand new and was extremely clean. The grounds are stunning, with a peaceful stream running right by the site. Our 6-year-old absolutely loved the play area, and ending our nights in the hot spa was the ultimate highlight. Highly recommended; we will definitely be back!
Perfect place for a family stay with a motorhome.nWarm and welcoming atmosphere, sparkling clean facilities, an amazing playground, and excellent amenities. Above all, the service and hospitality were truly exceptional. It really feels like they thought about every little detail.nnEvery staff member we met in the park was kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They surprised the kids with small treats and made them feel so special and welcome.nnThe campground is also in a fantastic location — within walking distance of the town center. At reception, you receive a very detailed explanation about activities in the area, along with a discount sheet for local attractions.nnOne of the best places we have stayed at during our trip.
We came in late February when the park was not busy. Our powered site was No 33 and backed into a stream and a spacious and quiet plot. The toilets and showers were 1st class. The showers last 7 minutes and are extremely powerful. The shower cubicle has automatic lighting and heating. The kitchen like everything else are spotless and modern. There is a short 2 minute woodland walk to the town centre which just makes this park near on perfect.
This is my favourite Top10 Camp. A lovely river you can hear flowing all the time and a view of the mountain. A brilliant bush walk and loop track. Two minute walk into town. The campground itself is well cared for. The facilities spotless. I love the macrocarpa bench tops in the bathrooms, heated towel rails and spotless showers. So impressed with how immaculate this camp is kept. We have been a few times to stay in our caravan and will keep coming back. It's also dog friendly as is the bush walk. I recommend this camp to everyone who thinks of heading to Ohakune.
We enjoyed our winter days camping here. Bonuses are having our 2 small dogs stay, the bush walk behind the camp for the dogs, the spa pool - nice & hot & very affordable & the free wifi. Lots of places to walk to & explore.
