Odelay Café

Driving from Te Anau to QT and had lunch here with my family. Amazing place with relaxing vibes and fantastic coffee. BLAT is also pretty good.

Had my breakfast here before leaving QT. It’s my favorite cafe where I came almost everyday. The food are made with care by the chefs, and the coffee are consistently goodshoutouts to Cody. Will miss this little gem

I recently visited Odelay Café and had an exceptional experience, thanks in large part to Rachel at the front desk. Despite the frosty cold outside, walking through the doors felt like being hugged by a soft blanket. The café itself is warm and welcoming, with a calm and serene atmosphere and a lovely view of the mountains.nnRachel greeted me with a genuine smile and instead of immediately asking for my order, she inquired about my day. It was such a nice touch. I mentioned I was struggling to decide on breakfast, and she took the time to recommend the breakfast sandwich, which turned out to be her personal favorite.nnRachel’s recommendation was spot on. The breakfast sandwich was not only exactly what I needed but also packed full of flavor and freshness. The poppyseed bun was fresh and soft, akin to a plush, big pillow. The egg was cooked to perfection, and the hash brown was golden and crunchy on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside. The semi-crunchy bacon added the perfect texture, and the secret yellow chutney elevated the flavors, making each bite delightful.nnI also ordered a mocha with an extra shot three shots in total. Often, my coffee can end up quite bitter when rushed by baristas, but not here. The coffee was smooth and perfectly balanced, with just the right mix of creaminess, coffee, and chocolate.nnIf you’re reading this, stop and head to Odelay Café! Scrambled eggs and poached eggs were both warm and filling. The 'seeded bread' was more like crackers, I would choose another bread next time.
