Overall pleasant stay but decided to move after one night. The locations a bit further out of town but no drama.nSuper clean, friendly staff...hand dryers were a bit old so didn't do much in the way of drying much.nnHowever, must agree with the review below in regards to the poorly equipped kitchen. It isn't explained upon check in that one kitchen is equipped and the other isn't.nnThere isn't even hand-wash available to wash your hands in-between preparing meat and veggies. Not even any dishwashing liquid or cloths to wipe down the surface after yourself.nnAlso the owners comments regarding that campers and caravans are fully equipped...isn't true. They don't always have their own equipment in them especially if you want to cook a decent meal hence why some people choose to stay in a campground instead of a doc.nnIf you expect them to use less equipment then reduce the price you charge them per night.nnI expected more from a TOP 10 Superior.
Really pleasant stay in a family unit. It’s modern and clean and great value for the price. Especially nice to have a good updated bathroom as that’s often the weak link but not here! I’ll stay again. Loved walking through the gardens to town.
A great park, run by friendly staff. The staff were helpful and even helped us learn how to use the grey water set up in our motorhome. Clean facilities and a well kept park. Oamaru is an incredible town, well worth the visit.
We were a family group aged 7 to 70, in two vehicles and staff happily allocated us adjacent pitches. Well located with a beautiful 20 minute walk through the very well kept gardens into town. The facilities are very clean and modern-- showers excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a bit of traffic noise from the road, but otherwise a perfect campsite.
Note winter hours are shorter and nowhere on the website or confirmation email states this, we arrived 10 min before reception closed, but by the time we realised we needed more blankets for our unit the reception was closed.nnHeaters for winter are noisy, electric blankets supplied
