Stayed for one night 19/10/24nGreat location, clean, well stocked amenities!nLady was lovely at reception!nBeautiful sunrise!nWas there for the steam train 100th anniversary! Got to experience the towns hospitality and enjoy the festivities!
Great location, close to town and penguins colony. Also just next to a playground that will please the kids. Less spacious as tents/vehicles are quite close to each other, basic and small kitchen and bathtoom facilities. Slightly overprice for a relatively small non-power site. Seen a few penguins wandering as they were finding their way home which kind of made me feel guilty to stay/walk around the site that is a disturbance to the lovely creatures
A wonderful place with great amenties and other sightseeing nearby as well. We also managed to catch sight of blue penguins hiding near the kitchen as well. A memorable stay indeed.
My favourite camp site. This visit I was incredibly lucky to see the aurora on 11 th October 2024. Camp owner sent me in the right direction to capture the best photos. The penguins are a major highlight , popping up out of the sea and wondering noisily directly into the camp. Under the motorhome and into there nesting boxes.nShowers are powerful, hot and very clean. It’s a great place to stay with amazing sunrises.
What a cool place location is fantastic. It's a really neat vibe on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of walks and cafes nearby, and I saw a little blue penguin at night. The camp itself is nice and clean and tidy and the owner was very friendly.
