Lots of things for kids to do provided external help is accessed. The camp itself could do with a bit of Birthday, but everything was clean and tidy.
We were very happy with our recent experience at camp iona. The facilities were more than adequate for our needs and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need for catering for groups big and small. Management were extremely helpful leading up to, during and after our weekend with any questions we had. Would definitely visit again!
Bunk rooms were pretty much filled with cobwebs. And a huge huhu beetle bit me. There was also a dead spider on the showers floor. There was also dirty socks and a bag of half eaten, moldy popcorn in the drawer. Don’t really recommend it.
Quite good nice nature but the house is quiet old and no heater inside.
Stay here for a night. We told the camp officer we will sleep inside our car, no using kitchen and room. The officer said we can stay here for free! Thank you for your kindness!
It was cold wet and there was mold on ceilings. Some showers didn't turn off and I overall hated it
We had a great night at camp Iona. They happened to be open when we arrived, and offered great açcomodation for a great price. Hot water, beds, and everything all for a camper and price.
Great place to connect with nature native birds all of NZs finest, Lovely hosts cheap alternative short term accommodation
Lovely tree surroundings, old scout campsite feel. Clean, tidy and quiet!
