My daughter loves going to NumberWorks'nWords. The tutors are awesome and support her learning. Her confidence in Maths since attending NumberWorks has skyrocketed! Jan is fantastic at staying in regular contact, updating us on what is happening, plans going forward and asking for any concerns we have. Amazing support and communication.
I cannot rate Dunedin NumberWorks'nWords highly enough. I have two daughters who attend one for math 3 terms and the other one for reading her first term and they both absolutely love it. They love going, they come home buzzing and they have gained so much confidence. Even Covid didn't stop them with my daughter being able to attend her lessons as usual online during the Lockdown. The communication from the tutors is amazing, they get to know and understand each child individually and it's so clear that they love what they do and they really care about the children they tutor. My daughter has come along so much in her maths and she has gone from saying "I'm not good at maths" to actively helping her younger sister and saying things like "It's ok, it's easy when you know how. Let me help you, I'm good at maths."
We struggled to understand where our daughter had specific issues with Numeracy. It wasn't until we engaged with NumberWorks could we obtain her specific strengths and weakness within the Maths curriculum. We routinely get an update on how she is progressing and what goals she is making. We have a very clear idea of what level our daughter is working at and we are able to utilise the feedback provided by NumberWorks and make these connections at home. Without the support of NumberWorks our daughter has turned her dislike of Maths into a passion.
These guys are nothing short of amazing! My daughter has struggled terribly with Maths for years and in just a few sessions the team at Number Works transformed her attitude toward Maths and all things number related! And in less than 2 terms there has been a huge improvement in her basic facts and speed to calculate mental maths problems. So impressed!
Jan and her fantastic team have mentored and educated our three sons through the minefield of Math and English at various levels from primary school through to NCEA over the past six years. Our boys have always enjoyed their weekly NumberWorks session and we enjoy the benefit of improved results at school, but more importantly, seeing our boys grow in confidence and belief in their own ability as they gain a solid understanding of the subjects they are working on. We highly recommend Jan and NumberWorks Dunedin.
