We have been part of Nrityalaya family since 2016, my elder one is learning her bharatnatyam with Ms.Rashmi since she was 6 and my younger one started her journey with Ms Rashmi since 2020 through online classes. I am so proud to see how Ms Rashmi has shaped my girls through this creative journey and cultivated love in them for traditional dance form. She knows how to encourage kids while maintaining the perfect discipline required for art form. The annual performances of Nrityalaya are feast for eyes. In past years, Nrityalaya students performed on various musical renditions of Dashavatara, Ramayana, Navagraha Namana, Ashtalakshmi Vaibhavam, and recent one Laasya Lahari, each show was unique , well-conceived ,excellently presented and thoroughly enjoyed. Ms Rashmi not only emphasizes on practicing the dance steps but also helps students understand the meaning of shlokas. My daughters have developed great knowledge of Indian culture through these performances. She puts extreme hardwork in all her students and provide support and encouragement to these blossoming artists!! We are blessed to be part of Nrithyalaya family and recommend it to everyone who wants to start their kids journey of Bharatnatyam
My daughter learnt from Ms. Rashmi for the last two years. Ms. Rashmi is a dedicated and a passionate dancer & teacher. Her traditional way of approaching this specific art form "Bharathanatyam" is wonderful. What I like the most is: well organized classes, her pace of teaching, concentrating on practice, not commercialising the art form and keeping it pure and traditional. My daughter has been a part of "Nrithyalaya Dance Academy's" Bharatanatyam dance class for the past 3 years. She loves the atmosphere and the teacher very much. The teacher, Miss Rashmi's passion and expertise in this ancient art form are truly inspiring. I have been learning bharatanatyam for the last many years under the tutelage of Rashmi Aunty. Her wisdom, dedication and her passion for this amazing art form has shaped me into a dancer that I am today. In September of 2023, I completed my arangetram and it would not have been possible without Rashmi Aunty. She patiently guided me through this process, helping me understand the different thalas and the intricacies of abhinaya. Her dedication to perfection, and her belief in me and all her students, and her ability to bring out the best in all of us has been nothing short of remarkable. Her support gave me the courage to take the stage that day and showcase this wonderful art form. I enjoyed everything, from the practices to the rehearsals, to performing on stage. She is an amazing teacher and it’s been an honor learning from her!
I have had the opportunity to learn Bharatanatyam under Rashmi aunty for the past 4 years, and through her wisdom and guidance I was able to complete my arangatrem during November of 2023. Rashmi aunty is very paitent and actively works with each one of her students to ensure that they are doing their best. Not only does she teach dance but she teaches the theory behind it which has allowed me to grow as a dancer. Each year, Rashmi aunty holds incredible Annual Recitals in which all her students are showcased. I feel honored that I have had the opportunity to take part of that and learn from her.
Our daughter Sahana learns bharatnatyam from Ms Rashmi. I am impressed with her reach to the audience through her creative productions. It is a fresh take on classical dance unlike being heavy on Margams. Makes learning dance more fun and engaging. Have noticed Ms Rashmi’s dance to have neat lines, Nritya and Abinaya. Our daughter has been learning bharatanatyam from Mrs.Rashmi Mathkur for the last many years. Rashmi is an excellent teacher who teaches kids to dance with grace, poise and precision. She is very kind and patient with the kids. She helps each kid reach their full potential and achieve their goals and dreams. We couldn't have asked for a better teacher for our kid and are happy to be a part of NDA family!!

My now 6yr old daughter and I have been learning Bharatanatyam from Guru Rashmi Prasad Mathkur of NDA from the last one 1.5yrs and the experience has been no less than fulfilling. The amount of effort that goes into regular classes, learning material, recital, narthana sevas, all reflect in each and every performance that the students give across the valley. I would recommend this dance school to anyone who would want to learn or wants their younger generation to learn this beautiful traditional art form. It's not just a dance journey but also a journey into your inner self, reflecting on your daily choices, awareness and evolution as a human being.
