This is my first purchase from Nick Scali, the TV entertainment unit was purchased from showroom in Mt Wellington, the delivery date and information was provided during purchase. Delivery came on mentioned date, item was delivered and assembled in my living room. No hassles. I was aware that the packaging was my responsibility to throw away, this is obvious if you have ever bought any large item from any retailer and if you open the item up days later you can't expect the retailer days latter to come and pickup the packaging. Will purchase again.
This company wouldn’t know the definition of customer service if it hit them in the head! I would NOT recommend anyone purchase anything from this company. Constant emails delaying your delivery, you can’t speak to anyone that knows anything. I purchased 4 items in Feb, they still haven’t arrived. What an absolute joke of a company. Do not waste your time or money regardless of how good it looks on the website. I have no idea if my stuff will ever turn up. PS for proof of how incompetent this company is just look at recent reviews. It’s 10 to 1 of bad reviews! Absolutely disgusting customer service with a lack of understanding that people have paid good money and just want what they paid for. We all understand delays but surprisingly you don’t understand how to communicate these. With all of your reviews saying the same thing maybe your company should take this on board. Once a mistake twice a habit and it’s clear you have developed a poor habit!
I bought a Margaux leather lounge last year and it cost me almost $4,000 as my original order had a major drama and didn’t arrived. The coil suspension spring at the bottom popped out, leaving the right side of the lounge sagging. Its pretty obvious that the quality build of this lounge is below standards. I have never jump or hump into it, happened just while watching tv. I am 85kg FY I am not a cow.
Furniture is good apart from a chair in the suite we bought that has a rechargeable battery operated pack which would not recharge. So I have a chair that does not recline. Have communicated backwards and forwards to the service department. Told battery would be delivered in Dec 2022 6 months after suite was delivered. It is now Jan 2023 and I have to pick up the phone to ask where the part is and I am still waiting. After sales service is extremely poor with no notifications of any delays I would never buy from Nick Scali again
These people have no idea about customer service. We waited maybe 3 months for the bed to be delivered and paid an extra $100 to have it unpacked and assembled. It was a bit late but not too bad but when delivered and unpacked all the packing materials cardboard and various plastics were left lying around, not taken away. I didn't realise this until the unpackers were gone. When I phoned to complain the attitude was "that's not our problem" then I got cut off!
My partner and I went to Nick Scali in Mt Wellington to buy 2 lounge suites, our dining room suite and bedroom furniture. We were greeted by Rae who was extremely helpful from the beginning and had so much knowledge about what furniture to choose and even helped us re design our original plan She is super friendly, kind , patient and knew exactly what to do to help us select our furniture and keep it all within our budget. We waited 6 months for the furniture to all arrive but it was so worth it !!! Our house looks absolutely stunning and we could not have done it without Rae, so thank you If anyone needs furniture for their home, go and see Rae at Nick Scali Mt Wellington
I would like to share my very bad experience with anyone who may get the furniture from them. They are supposed to be good but some dodgy sales are not trustworthy. We ordered a hall table which was not in stock at the time, so we paid deposit. Later on we decided to not get the hall table but a side table instead from here. The Chinese sales representative was begging us not to get refund for the rest of the deposit the cost of the side table is lower than our deposit for the hall table because it will affect his performance for that month. We were doing him a favour by not getting the money back but left it as store credit, which we were planning to get something later on. Here was what happened, after about a year time, I went back to the store and check how much credit I have left from my last purchase. I was then told, I got nothing left because the credit expired a week ago before I came into the store! I was like wait a sec! When the Chinese guy ask me to leave the money as store credit, he did not even tell me it will expire in a year's time. If he did, I would get refund for sure. I was trying to find him in the store, but other staff told me he left the job ages ago! How convenient! I argued with the staff then they agreed to give me their contact for the store manager to sort it out! After a very long story-telling email, finally I got my CREDIT not money back, and promised me that it will never expire, because it is my money! I have not yet spent it, but I'm planning to use it soon so that I don't have to deal with Nick Scali any more. I will probably go somewhere else like Harvey Norman who has better reputation and quality products for my future purchase.
Really disappointed by quality of the products this company is providing. We have aix coffee table for 8 months and the black colour is coming off already . We were told this is due to daily usage. Shocking that they assume their products can look damaged after 8 months and this is normal
Beware, these grubs are sneaky and don’t let you pickup furniture and charge you for delivery fee. It took over 6 months to arrive and Mr Scali has very poor comms. Couch is pretty good though. 1 star.
Been dealing with Nash from Mount Wellington store service was great as you would expect but from there it stops! Paid deposit for furniture 29/12/2021 Arrived 24/08/2022 which isn’t the issue was told when it was delivered that we could do a bank transfer of the remaining amount but learnt that the company had changed there policy 3 weeks ago. Efpos card would only do $10,000 max which left me $4000 short which become my problem. After 7 phone call to the 0800 number and getting transferred to Mount Wellington store which NONE were answered then having to speak to Australia which was about 4 people but none had a solution to fix it. Called the bank and they were helpful as but couldn’t raise that limit as it was a max limit set. In the end i asked the truck driver what bank he was with and we were with the same bank so in the end had to transfer him for him to pay the remaining amount all of a hour and a half of my time wasted. Was told by Nash that the delivery fee of $390 included set up cost but it was only put in the garage scattered thru which I had to stack it so it was all compact. Driver was paid $400 but had no change to give back. Spoke to Nash and was told a senior person was going to deal with this and it’s been 2 weeks and no follow up. This is far from a good experience and very disappointed with this shop as we honestly thought that it had more class to it but guess not just take your money and your held to all there terms and conditions with the clear winner only being themselves. I feel even a one star is to much to rate this experience. Very poor form Nick Scali!!!!!!!
