Beautiful. Well kept and plenty of attractions inside. This place ought to be visited more . It's a mix of a park, a museum, a walk and lot more.. still trudging along enjoying it all... Also note that all signs are 'pun' intended . When looking at the signs etc you will notice a lot more out of the ordinary
Really nice place to wander about. I enjoyed the personal touches through. They have a can museum near the back of the gardens - interesting to look through. Quite a few different birds around! You can buy feed to give them on the cheap - nice way to get some interesting photos. Lots of places to sit - too bad it was raining when I came. Will definitely come back when it's sunny.
We had some time to kill before heading North, so decided to visit. We thought it was great. The kids bought duck food and loved having a trail of ducks follow them everywhere. The gardens were beautiful and the quirky sign posts strategically placed very amusing.
It was lovely. I had always wanted to go and was so much better than I expected. My daughter had lived just out of Ngatea and never knew it existed. She's an Aussie girl now so next visit.
Beautiful place. And lovely little jokes and quirks around the place. Lovely tame gentle ducks and swans. Worth the drive to visit. Would recommend packing a picnic and use one of the picnic tables provided.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
It was a great water garden. My kid loved it. The museum was also good. I also enjoyed. Entry fee was $14 for adult.
Very fun. Very immersive, and fun to interact with all the birds they are NOT scared of humans - at all!. Please look through the "Canny Museum" too, it's got some real gems of the time. The only nitpick would be their website, is not clear when they'll open. I went on an odd Friday even though the website said open Sunday to Thursday. And their gates were wide open! Even AT the garden gates, the signs said "closed Friday and Saturday" but they were not. Was it part of their funny signs?
Completely unexpectedly amazing. Quirky signs, magic gardens, beautiful setting. Allow 2 hours for a relaxed yet enjoyable experience.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Once again, just giggled the whole way through. Took some gardening fanatics from Pukekohe and they absolutely loved it! Well recommended for a Sunday adventure! We'll be back!
