The 2017 New Zealand Mountain Film & Book Festival is a combination of events over June 30 to July 9 in Wanaka, Cromwell & Queenstown.

Story

Mountain Film Festival runs in Wanaka June 30 to July 4, Cromwell July 5 & Queenstown July 6 to 8. Scheduled activities include:

Opening night with film awards announcements and previews, and live music and socialising.
Film finalists and the world’s best adventure movies!
NZ & International guest speakers
Workshops and book readings
Adventure Film School
Adventure trade show
Film maker and author talks
Art exhibition
Photography Competition

Mountain Book Festival run in Wanaka July 7 to 9 & Queenstown on July 8. Scheduled activities include:

Awesome place, close to shops...Saw a Hypnosis show with Xavier Crow....He was amazing....Venue was great, seating fantastic as I could see everything happening on stage....
Great function space with a number of rooms, including a small theatre. Toilets were clean. Large kitchen for large catered events. Surrounds are very nice with trees and a creek running by - you wouldn't know you are in the middle of town.
It needs massive clean in kitchen. The kitchen sinks were dirty. Benches looked dirty. The fridge is smelly. Bar badly needs a upgrading. Needs till draws. The fridges should not be under the bar, that place is for glasses.
Great place for seminars. Warm. Very clean.

Fantastic place to visit well worth he trip. Lots to see and do all around here best natural scenery in the world.
Went for a function, in many ways it was nothing special but it's exactly what you'd expect. Toilets were clean and tidy
