Story

This small classic movie theatre located in Wanaka is a real find. Comfy old sofas, an old Morris Minor, a cafe & bar serving delicious meals before, during or after the movie. Homemade icecream, world-famous hot cookies fresh every intermission & a warm welcome from the friendly staff & Patron. Loads of guides list the cinema as a "must do" & it is truly a memorable movie experience!

Seating in cozy comfortable couches. First in, best dressed as they say.. Freshly baked cookies at half-time yes, the movie stops for an intermission. A favorite spot for our stay in Wanaka!
Several Theatres, Cafe, good variety of food. If ordered at beginning of session they will deliver at 1/2 time.
Lovely little find in Wanaka. Nearly fell asleep curled up on the couch. Friendly staff, and delicious food. A right asset for Wanaka
Gorgeous cinema with quirky selection of seats. Freshly baked cookies including gf as in photo available at the intermission.
The best little cinema! Choose between couches, a car or standard cinema seats to sit in and definitely order a warm cookie for intermission!
It's nice! Not "best cinema in NZ" nice as I had heard, but just a small town cinema with the twist of some sofas in the cinema rooms, the front part of the old car you usually see in the pictures, and the cabinet food and cookies you can buy for the intermission. Staff was super friendly too! :
So cozy and great and all cinemas should have intermissions and fresh baked cookies.
A guy in a gorilla suit greeted us after watching King Kong....and fresh baked cookies in an interval. Great experience
