Really well maintained and presented. Usually a New World is the better at it. It stays here too. Have got EV charging points, a cafe, groceries, dairy, deli, seafood, butchery, beer and wine etc. There is a BNZ ATM too. Just by the main road. Self checkout is available. Loved shopping there. Plenty of onsite parking available.
Oh yum, looks like pigs have been in this trough. A beautiful store as in fixtures and fittings, but the merchandising and cleanliness definitely let it down. Hopefully teething troubles.
One of the nicest supermarkets I've been to. Staff are all friendly. Great selection of products. They have lots of things I just haven't managed to find anywhere else! Store is always clean and well looked after. Central location makes it quick and convenient to pop in and get what you need.
I was in your store between 9.45 and 10.00 last night 7 December. I was looking for trifle sponges and came across one of your staff so asked them if you had any in store. That staff member turned out to be one of your trainees and her name was Nelly. This young lady is going to be an absolute asset to your store. Nelly was fantastic, funny and exuberant worth a permanent smile on her face. We both went round the whole store looking for trifle sponges and I have to say I haven’t had so much fun in ages and it was a perfect end to my day. I have been in the Customer Service industry for many years and Nelly is an absolute gem. Please give her a shout out and pass on my thanks to her once again. Merry Christmas to you all. Very clean and we'll kept New World. One of the most aesthetically pleasing layouts for a supermarket. The best part is the craft beer section. A huge selection for all craft beer enthusiasts out there. Would recommend to everyone as the supermarket to go to in Christchurch CBD
This is the nicest super market ever, I was down in Christchurch from Auckland, and I entered this new world and it was amazing everything was clean they have a scanner to pay for food when going though the store, the store looked amazing. Even the staff looked approachable and they were even cleaning the bottom of the shelving, very impressed wish we had something like this in Auckland
The new kid on the block, so to speak. New Worlds owner bought several lots that were previously car sales yards and built a brand new large format supermarket right across the road from South City Centre where that had been located for at least 20 years. The new site has allowed them to greatly expand their store and it is most definitely an improvement on their former location.
Doesn’t have a gluten free section which made our shop more difficult - even stores in smaller towns seem to have these so we were caught out by the fact that central Christchurch didn’t. I also find the aisles so narrow, it’s impossible to shop without feeling like you’re in someone’s way! Other than that, we got most of what we needed eventually.
A great new modern store for the city. Looks clean & fresh. Amazing range of produce. The deli counter has everything you need. And they have a cafe which does a decent cup of coffee.
Shout out to the bakery team, you all make a killer cranberry, walnut and cinnamon bread that makes the detour to this store worth it. It pairs incredibly well with fix and foggs PB&J.
