If it wasn't for it's lack of respect for customers, this would be my favorite supermarket in Whangarei. I only consider local businesses 4 Square, Pac'n'Save and New World. It has the best bakery, and a deli at least on par with others. I have spent around $300 weekly for over 2 years not including petrol. Unfortunately, a person cut in line at the pumps and refused to join the line after being asked to by those waiting. Further, she said she always does this. The manager asked me to leave the pump area rather than have her respect those who had been waiting about 6 vehicles - not including me as I had not yet joined the line. I didn't shop there and will never do so again. Any bakery alternatives would be appreciated.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. I will give five stars when the online shopping lockers are fixed. It’s not so convenient when the lockers won’t open and you have to go and find someone because the intercom isn’t working.
Ok this place is on! Fresh produce and always clean and tidy. If I'm honest I come here to buy the chicken roll in the deli and a coffee. It's an affordable and yummy lunch.nnAlso they stock some of my favourite coffee beans!
What a lovely supermarket the staff are friendly store looked always clean fresh orange juice been squeezed as you go into store and wow the choice off pet food was exceptional alot off choice for puppy food the best ive seen in a supermarket a must check out you will be delightfully surprised the bakery is septacular
New World Regent is known for bullying their customers. Someone I know of videoed harassment and borderline threatening behaviour by the owner, a friend told me of her incident, and another friend was nearly assaulted by NW staff. Not a place I want to spend my money at.
