Awesome bakery and hot food area. Makes the store a whole lot more than just another bog standard generic supermarket, it's actually worth going out of your way to visit it just for that feature alone. Donuts for days, real nice fat ones that actually look the part, are reasonably priced AND with fresh cream. Spinach feta scroll I bought was neither dry/nor all bread, perfect ratio of spinach to bread and feta. Not sure if the deli food could've been heated to go, would've loved to nab myself a hot scotched egg since none of my local supermarkets do deli scotched egg as far as I'm aware.
It was good. Was able to find what I needed, at one point I was looking for an item I could not find and one of the attendants was more than willing to go and look out the back to see if they had some. He found what I needed so I was happy. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I would have no problem in recommending this store to any one.
Was so impressed with the facing that all the staff in Grocery were doing, wanted to give them all a high five lol. Makes the store look so amazing. This one and the New World on Broadway are the best supermarkets in Palmerston North easily.
Awesome hot food range in the deli loving the meals as well as the friendly staff who know their stuff. Rest of the store is great as well
I went into Pioneer because I needed to redeem my Smeg stickers. With having a baby I needed to know if the stores had what I wanted before getting there, Pioneer was the only supermarket that kept their Facebook up to date. I ended up grabbing a couple items when I went in and omgosh, the shelves looks so full and clean. Every staff member I passed smiled at me, it was super busy but the staff were still so kind when I asked for the Smeg item. They showed nothing but patience and kindness. I am not from Palmerston North but I will happily make a point to stop in here in the future. Great job team!
