Stopped in as I had gone to woolies an pack n save prior both toilets out of use an i need to go. Pleasantly surprised that new world is open longer then pak n save, large clean store and all workers very happy for 9pm still helpful an chatty.nHad everything I needed an the music was a great sound track.nI found myself singing loud to it even while putting gas in my car which price wise was the best I found today.nWhen I'm up that way again New world will be my go to. Only wish getting out heading back to levin was easier as you have to drive up to lights and go all the way around to get back on main drag out of tow.
It was good. Was able to find what I needed, at one point I was looking for an item I could not find and one of the attendants was more than willing to go and look out the back to see if they had some. He found what I needed so I was happy. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I would have no problem in recommending this store to any one.
Amazing New World, huge selection of goods. Large really impressive salad bar, big fresh bakery selection, best supermarket I have ever been in. Staff very friendly.
Was so impressed with the facing that all the staff in Grocery were doing, wanted to give them all a high five lol. Makes the store look so amazing. This one and the New World on Broadway are the best supermarkets in Palmerston North easily.
Normally a 5 star but standards and product range are dropping. Little things but it shows.n1. Pea pie and pud pies... don't make them anymore due to staff cutsn2. The standard of potatoe salad has dropped to a spongey product sooo...not as good. I guess due to staff cuts.n3. Trying to get fresh coleslaw, ie served from the bowl. ... nah...have to have pre packed...choice is gone. Just not the same. Staff cuts I guess.n4. On the check out..packing your own, when did that happen.. you have someone e there at the start and then they are gone.... really?? We ended up packing so not to hold the queue up. Is that now the norm... staff cuts??nOverall still a good place and the stadd are great, but the little things are starting to add up.
