Got little star buck inside too. Great layout, clean, staff was friendly and helpful.
Customer service is extremely good, but what this place lacks is options, you will find flavors of lines just simply missing, and for me unfortunately its my favorite ones. Bakery and any made instore product seems to be add two dollars to anything slightly special... a supermarket used to be a cheap place to find lunch... these days a local bakery will undercut them everytime.
Love the staff and the fact I have help while shopping here as being nearly fully blind the staff are so helpful
I especially love the extra choices in brands , they're so much more variety and if you're looking for something special, this supermarket is the a great choice.
While the availability of parking and the presentation of all goods are excellent, I have a major concern about the ethics of this supermarket chain. The main mission appears to be to try and squeeze as much money from the customers as possible using a large number of sneaky tricks. E.g. having chocolates etc. at the counter, having a large percentage of items on so called 'special' deals, although the unit price is not dispayed so you dont know if it's special or not. Some items which you might expect to be cheaper because they contain larger amounts/ numbers are actually more expensive than the smaller packets see photo, more expensive brands at eye level with cheaper brands near the bottom, unit price if present is in very small type and difficult to read.nThe one saving grace is that New World is New Zealand owned I think. Oh, and the employees are always very helpful.nIt would be interesting to know the mark-up on all items because the weekly profit is obscene, so we hear on the news.nNo thought is given to the plight of the large number of hard-working lower income earners who are struggling to survive financially.
