New World Havelock North

First time shopping in this particular New World yesterday. Incompetent girl on the checkout had no idea how to count change, looked like she had received little or no training. Few items in produce have inconsistent pricing with the mailer more expensive. Will just stick to the Hastings store in the future.

I was at new world in havelock north a few days ago and requested help with the self checkout machine. The worker treated me disrespectfully and then accused me of stealing! I believe this was due to my appearance teenage boy with pink hair. I hope the management at new world works on this and talks to staff about respect to all costumers regardless of appearance.I made sure to show nothing but respect to all staff members.

With some of the negative complaints about bad attitude from store associates in this supermarket maybe they need some competition from a new Walmart, SMITH’S, Albertsons or Woolworths haha! Look like a nice cozy store otherwise! Cheers from Provo UTAH 84601 originally Otahuhu 1062‼

Nice clean store. Well stocked. Friendly staff member was very helpful when silly me made an oppsie using self check out.

Shout out to Mikayla at Havelock North New World. Mikayla kept her cool and was super professional when an awful customer mistreated her and my friends and I witnessed the confrontation. It’s people like Mikayla that makes stores run and function. New World are lucky to have her.

Is totally packed with their selection, the new supermarket will transform the store. Great bakery too

management need to train their checkout supervisors. I saw a man who used a WINZ green card obviously in hardship and to suffer the embarrassment of being taken to task over his untidy signature over $12.00 of goods? while everyones watching? I could see he wasn't too perturbed over it so I took photos of his purchase and said "its all good, this will go viral mate" he tried several times to get it exactly right according to the match on the card -WHO GETS THEIR SIGNATURE EXACT EVERY TIME??? in the end the Indian girl had to get her supervisor to check it? what a fuss! over $12.00???? anyhu onto the review -The mark up is a still bit cheeky compared to other NWs in this region for common products . Couple of things in their favour is the really helpful staff and variety of non standard stock and imported products : Georgia you saved this rating & others have been amazing she went to a lot of trouble to find a tub of my fav icecream! The queue used to be ridiculous most days I once said the owners need to attack this persistent problem here and they've added 6 more self serve checkouts before Xmas 2021! excellent thankyou. never have to wait at this Spmkt ever since can't believe the difference and its actually a pleasure to shop here now. nicely done Richard

The best supermarket in Hawkes Bay. Such a rich choice of high quality food. Even Evian you can buy.

Highly overpriced compared to other supermarkets. But in saying that they have the best variety of stuff.
