We are a safe drop-in space in for women and children in Nelson NZ. Services include low-cost counselling, social worker support, workshops, a library, Opshop, information and food bank. We rely on funding and donations to operate these services.

Story

The Nelson Women's Centre is a resource and support centre for all women and children in the Nelson Tasman region.

We are a welcoming drop-in space where women can access services such as social worker support, information, workshops, a library and opshop, and a food bank.

We are one of the only places in Nelson to provide free-to-low-cost counselling.

You don’t have to be in any sort of crisis to access our services. We are a safe space for you to connect and network with other Nelson women.

The Centre exists through a combination of government funding, donations, and the hard work of a large team of volunteers. We appreciate your support so we can to continue our services to women.
