Nelson Railway Society Founders Park

A really fun place to take to family to for a few hours, there's also a short train ride there too

Great place, friendly staff. Very informative. Had lunch as well, was delicious. Can only recommend to visit the Founders Heritage Park when in Nelson.

This is another famous place to visit while in Nelson. It takes you down memory lane of Nelson’s history and how life was in the early days. It’s unbelievable how they have managed to put together everything..it’s like traveling through time! Fee is pretty cheap...there’s $25 for a family of 4!!!Not bad!!

Founders Park is a special place. Allow plenty of time to soak up the olden day atmosphere. The heritage buildings are beautifully restored and the gardens are lovely with plenty of picnic tables. This outing will have something for the very old and yet cater for the children too.
