Story

We are passionate about two things; learning and children. Our practitioners have a vast experience in working with children, and are both experienced in Waldorf Education. Audrey McAllen developed the Extra Lesson for her students when she began to notice they needed more support in order to function at their full capability. She noticed that disturbances in normal childhood development effected the child's ability to use their body to efficiently move and send information to the brain for processing. Our activities help the child by supporting movement in order to learn.

"We are a homely, converted centre full of love and learning. We use natural materials to complement our classroom environment and create authentic experiences for the tāmariki in our comfortable and cosy spaces. Our team are inspired by our tāmariki and their whānau which helps them to develop genuine love for anyone who come through our doors. We thrive to provide environments that are rich in learning opportunities through exploring nature. We have a passion for the outdoors and for helping to raise a generation of children who are empathetic to the needs of the earth. God is at the centre of everything we do here and we love to help our tāmariki to grow in awe and wonder of God and all his creations."
