I had one of the tastiest brunches here last weekend; potato and parsnip roster with perfect eggs and some fresh salmon and a lovely lemony aioli type dressing on the side. Definitely will visit again when in the area. Very good coffee to finish off.
This was my first visit to Nara Cafe and I loved it. It's fairly new to Martinborough in a newly refurbished building. The interior decor is modern, light and lovely. The place was busy so it had a great atmosphere. The counter service was friendly and the food came out fairly promptly, even though it was busy.nnI had a jalapeno cornbread with bacon, 2 fried eggs, dukkah, chilli oil & maple syrup. I loved the flavour combinations, but the eggs were a bit runny for my liking. I should've asked for the tops to be cooked a bit more. Excuse the photo of my partly-eaten meal, as I forgot to take a photo before I tried it. The Flight coffee was amazing. I'd love to try some of their other dishes one day. The counter food options were slim pickings and a little disappointing. It would've been nice to see some more fresh scones and muffins, but there wasn't much choice unless it was all sold out.
Amazing little restaurant. Beautiful fit out, adventurous food, and friendly staff. Menu is stunning and the there was some fresh flair to dishes we have enjoyed in five star restaurants. Highly recommend the celeriac stake glazed in maple syrup. Excellent selection of New Zealand and European wines.
Great cafe, was in Martinborough over the weekend visiting from Wellington with my family, we stop in here grab a coffee and something to eat, staff were very friendly and gave as great service, I’m a fussy when it comes to my coffee, well I wasn’t disappointed the coffee was great and so was the food.
First visit here on recommendation of a local friend. We sat outside as we had our little pooch. Great service, friendly staff, nice menu selection. Fabulous food cooked with love. Great hot coffee also! Definitely will revisit.
