Very friendly staff at this location and a clean restaurant. We ordered the chicken blt with fries and a half chicken. We received our order very quickly - in less than 15 minutes. There is water available at a tap plus cold chilled water free of charge. There is also lots of sauce available, cutlery, napkins, and more! Loved the hand washing station which was available in the restaurant. Drinks in a fridge for purchase including coke products and beer. Additional notes... limited parking on site.
Went here for dinner because my friend and I were going to an event at the Eventfinda Stadium so this was convenient location-wise. Fast service for a Friday evening and the staff member who took my order was helpful. I ordered the chicken BLAT burger with fries. It was fine taste-wise. The menu has salad options and also sharing options with chicken, which I've yet to try.
Loved it. Haven't been in a very long time and got my standard of quarter chicken, Peri chips and a drink. Clean facilities, hand wash station, ample of sauce bottles and the food... Delicious!!! Parking was easy to find as well
Pathetic portion size of the main, soft and moist kumara fries. $5.50 for an ice cream scoop ball of avocado.
Food never disappoints at Nandos. We love coming here as a family. Easy, well priced. African music and vibes are wonderful and a reminder of home. Staff in NZ lack charisma & good service compared to AU & South Africa would be the harshest critique.
This is the second time this happens in Nandos. I brought my own container to reduce waste and packaging and ordered a burger for take away. So I asked them to put my burger in the container. They still wrapped the burger and then put it in my container!! I always do this in other restaurants not nandos and they always do it right.
The staff are very friendly. They always make you feel welcome in the restaurant. The reasoning behind my lower review is mainly due to animal welfare. Nandos does not have very good welfare and they have been called out on this a few times. I hope they change this.
Customer service is very poor. I asked the staff for half peri peri chicken. Lol first he said he’s short of chicken. Then I told him do you have anything to eat because I was hungry. Then he asked me for my order. I said I want to order half peri peri chicken. Then he said lol it’ll take 30 minutes to make chicken. It was 9 pm he said he can’t take order. Then why you guys mention it closes at 10 pm. Just mention 9 pm. This is so bad. You guys should do something for this.
I normally like Nando’s but I’m not going back to Wairau Branch. The place was not clean, the staff that took our order was not friendly at all, she was picking her fingernails while taking our order which is disgusting, and she’s obviously not happy to serve us. So definitely not coming back here! And btw the garlic bread taste charcoal, they literally burnt it!
I absolutelylove coming to this restaurant. The food the sauces are so good. Lovely atmosphere and staff
