Story

Naenae College is a state coeducational secondary school located in north-central Lower Hutt, New Zealand. The school was opened in 1953 to serve the Naenae state housing development, although the school is located in the modern suburb of Avalon. A total of students from Years 9 to 13 (ages 12 to 18) attend Naenae College as ofHistoryConstruction of Naenae began the late 1940s under Prime Minister Peter Fraser and the First Labour Government. It was supposed to become a "designer community" of suburban state housing. With the raising of the school leaving age from fourteen to fifteen in 1944, the expansion of Naenae and wider Lower Hutt, and the start of the post-World War II baby boom, Naenae College was built to accommodate secondary school students north of central Lower Hutt.Naenae College was a prototype for a standardised building design to be used at other new secondary schools across New Zealand. The school was built with long two-story wings of classrooms facing onto corridors, constructed with reinforced concrete on the first level and timber above that. However, construction of the so-called "Naenae type school" was too slow and expensive for a large scale building programme, and subsequently the Naenae type was largely replaced with a single-storey all-timber version known as the "Henderson type school". Both types lasted four years before being phased out in 1957 in place of self-contained classroom blocks.

I've gone to this college and I've received several bullies, terrible hygiene in general, lack of school equipment, slow internet, the only good things would be the friendly staff, snack shack, cameras
The letter you sent out after the 11 year student committed suicide was horrific. You are angered? You should be ashamed. Her family tried to get help for her and you did NOTHING. You're angered, you people are horrible. You're a disgrace. Here is an excerpt of the letter so everyone can see what monsters you are.
Great school attended 1994-1998. Made good friends, set me up for university and life.
a scummy school governed by out-of-touch elitist people, who openly bully their peers. The principal is abrasive and incompetent, and is backed by a shockingly and appallingly incompetent school board. They have and continue to fail students.
got stomped on by a teacher for not wearing bolt cutters, wood work teacher plays some jams though. 7/10 also if you wanna buy darts go to science block and look for anyone wearing a puffer jacket ggez
We have moved from Wairoa to Wellington. And I use to be a x Taita College student. I chose Naenae because it's a change. Since they've started it's only been 4-5mths they love it. The love the teachers, some students and have met great people and friends.
Teachers are nice and helpful and peers too. Its just the facilities are bit old and those toilets are a nightmare
