EPIC! So satisfying, the quality of the ingredients is the key to a great meal. I just demolished a mixed lamb and chicken it combines well! and did not want it to end. May the new owners continue to uphold the excellent standards, and best wishes to the outgoing owners
I will never be returning. This used to be me and my family’s favorite Greek restaurant. So sad you have lost 4 customers at least. Souvlakis used to take at least half and hour to make but now it’s quick and terrible. The lack of passion is shown in the quality and quantity of the food. I could go on but this is only the half of it. So disappointing. Better value and quality at Mc Donald’s
Had a good experience, they have best Vegan Falafel in town with fresh Salad.. Staff also asked for top up sauces at no charge Helpful staff with. Surely gonna go back Vegetarian options: Separate cook tops for vegetarians with free sauces Kid-friendliness: They have kid souvlaki option as well
Any five star reviews since new owners are all from "new" people which clearly points to them being fake reviews trying to balance out the actual reviews being 1 star. This place isnt the same with the new owners. Chicken not cooked properly, service is terrible. Unable to understand what you want to order which is frustrating. Dry inside as no sauce in the middle before wrapping pita up. Used to be a regular. Now I will never return. It would seem the new owners are not knowledgeable about this type of food and have ruined what used to be an amazing place to eat. This was obviously bought as a money maker not a place that looks after customers. Wouldnt be surprised if it shuts as no one will end up going. Wish the lovely old owners were still there who made it to perfection each time where you knew you would get consistancy.
Have been getting lunch here regularly with my work place and has always been nice food but as of last week has taken a turn for the worst, the chicken was flavourless and a bit scarce for a double overloaded with lettuce with a sprinkle of tomatoes. have now lost this customer and will not be returningFood: 2/5
Service was a tad slow as 2 workers there but one cooking and one just standing at the register. Seems like a change of owner as quality has gone down too. Not bad food but wasn't 'greek' flavours like some other places in Chch.Food: 3/5
We had heard there were new owners so decided to try out the souvlaki for tonight's dinner - unfortunately we will not be returning. The flavours were not Greek at all and as we spend several months a year in Greece we should know how it should taste. The tzatziki was lumpy, watery, and flavourless - nothing like authentic Greek tzatziki which should be thick, creamy, and garlicky - I suspect the yogurt being used is not Greek yogurt to keep costs down. Because of this by the time we got home the pita bread was all soggy. Most of the filling was lettuce, maybe one or two tiny pieces of tomato and not as much lamb as I remember.
Massive drop in standards since new owners took over. Souvlaki was smaller, taste was nowhere near as good, less meat with smaller chunks, bread was overly chewy. Owner not interested in feedback. Gone from being best souvlaki in Chch to run of the mill.
Beautiful fresh tasting tender soft Souvlakis. Every time I get one it's the same quality. Keep up the great work
Bring back the old owners, food was very average compared to what it was. Pita was dry/old, double chicken was half the size of what it use to be and all the sauce was just dumped on top. Lady on the phone couldn’t understand anything I was saying. Not coming back
