Nice to have a pub close by! It was warm and cozy, a great reprieve from the cool chill outside. There were quite a few patrons but it wasn't rowdy. The food came out in a timely manner and it was delicious. The pulled pork tacos were a standout and so were the chips. Staff were very friendly!Food: 5/5
Great value lunch deal! $14.95 for fish and chips or steakchoose what sauce you want peppercorn, mushroom or garlic butter and chips. I had the steak an chips with peppercorn, the steak was cooked perfectly how I like it med/rare the chips were a decent size and tasty. My partner had fish and chips tried fish very yummy. His friend had steak and chips with mushroom sauce, we all totally enjoyed our meals, accompanied by a drink each, beer for the boys. Love the Irish feel and interesting decor. Very attentive service though it was a bit quiet. The young guy serving us was friendly and helpful. We were upstairs in a small booth. A few booths down stairs. Great to have toliets upstairs and downstairs as well as a bar upstairsused probably at night or private functions and a downstairs bar.As well as a pool table upstairs with an outside front deck area overlooking the footpath. Which also has seating and tables outside the front door at the bottom. This will be my go to for a reasonably priced yummy lunch. Highly recommend. Parking: Parking depends on the time of the day you go there. Evenings would be busier.

We had the $20 ribs deal and it was excellent value. Big slab of delicious meat, tender, nice sauce. Just really superb eating for that kind of money. Highly recommend the food. Can't say the same about the service.Food: 5/5
Love Mount Mellicks steak meal we come here on a weekend and it always is of top standard and for $14.95 such a good price. The Atmosphere is always good. Have always loved Irish pubs they always have the nicest food and reasonably pricedFood: 5/5
Loved the bar, it was good to have an Irish bar and just chill. We went in between lunch and dinner at 4pm so the kitchen was closed but there was still some finger foods to nibble on while having a drink with friends ^^Food: 5/5
Je suis rentrée dans ce bar avec des amis une première fois, il n'y avait personne mais le billard était sympa. Mais j'ai voulu y retourner un soir et les agents de sécurité n'ont pas voulu me laisser rentrer alors que je suis majeure depuis longtemps maintenant ! L'agent de sécurité n'a pas du tout été coopératif alors que j'avais mes papiers d'identité et que les autres bars m'ont très bien accepté après leur refus à eux Dommage pour eux, vous avez perdu de nombreux clients car nous étions un bon groupe d'amis à aimer la bière Je ne prends d'habitude pas le temps d'écrire de commentaire, mais là s'en est trop pour ce début d'année !

Mondays are $20 for an entire whole rack of bbq ribs on top of a mount of fat fries. Chips. Sorry. Chips. They give you bowls of water and lemon to wash your fingers too. I love NZ.
