We are one of Taupo's longest standing Automotive Dealerships which is locally owned and operated and has been serving the Taupo community and surrounding areas since 1983. Dealer Principal and Managing Director Garry Morrell has a real love for all automobiles and has instilled this in his experienced team. I love my new Subaru Forester Premium purchased from Morrell Motors. Mark Morrell was a pleasure to deal with from the initial enquiry through to picking up my new car. He spent considerable time going over the benefits of the Forester on my first visit. Mark's friendly and professional approach made the decision to buy easy and well worth the trip all the way from Ohope. On pickup Mark took my wife and I on a long drive to make sure we were familiar with the vehicle and later followed up to make sure all was well. This is my third Forester, but the first from Morrell Motors. After my experience, when the time comes I have no doubt that the fourth will also be purchased from Morrell Motors.
Mark and the team and Morrell Motors were absolutely outstanding to deal with when purchasing our new car. Mark provided us with honest advice, expertise on a wide range of vehicles and overall a very professional and friendly service. Communication was always prompt, and the team and always welcoming. Would definitely recommend and was worth the travel to Taupo just for the service we received! Thanks again.
‘Over the last 10 years I have had the pleasure of working with the team at Morrell Motors in managing our fleet of Subaru vehicles ranging from regular servicing requirements through to urgent repairs to damage such as windscreen replacements from stone chips etc. They have always been very accommodating with arranging appointments and when supplying a new vehicle, they always provide a solid induction so you know all the ins and outs of the car before you leave. I live in Orewa and completed the purchase of my car from Morrell Motors in Taupo entirely through phone calls and emails. The communication with Mark and ease of purchase was so simple and straight forward from start to finish with the icing on the cake being the delivery of my new vehicle to my door. After purchasing a Subaru Outback in 2021 we were so impressed with the service from the Subaru Franchise and the quality of its performance my wife wanted to purchase the new XV. Mark and his team were outstanding in meeting our expectations from start to finish. So often missing in todays vehicle sales climate, the Morrell Motors team met their promise on deadlines, adding the extras, pricing and presentation! We love our Subaru's and highly recommend Mark and his team on keeping their word and were very helpful through the whole process. They spent a lot of time with us when we bought the car to make sure we understood everything about the vehicle, how to enjoy driving it, and to plan its servicing. My wife and I have no hesitation to recommend them to anyone considering buying a Subaru!
My BMW blew a turbo hose on the Napier-Taupo road, it was running like a dog and I was facing having to tow it back to Napier. No BMW service center in Taupo. So I called these guys and they said they could take a look at it, they saw me as soon as I arrived, were super friendly, made me a real coffee and got my car fixed and back on the road within 2 hours! Not only that but they replaced an ignition coil at no charge and topped up the oil so the car actually left in better condition! Now that is amazing service! They also checked in with me several times about what they were going to do, and charged me a fair price. Very happy and I would highly recommend these lovely people.
My first experience of buying a vehicle with Mark from Morrell motors was so positive and seamless that it was an easy decision to use him again when needing to change my vehicle. Mark and I initially spoke on the phone of my requirements, then shortly after that I was in the dealership viewing and test driving the vehicle I went on to purchase. Mark is thorough, efficient, a good communicator and reliable . I always felt well looked after, never rushed, however he was always mindful of my needs. I highly recommend Mark for all of the above reasons but also his knowledge, patience and attention to detail
When we began our initial search for our new car purchase we sent out a number of emails to various Subaru Dealers in the North Island. Mark promptly emailed us back. Buying a vehicle from out of town and while stocks were short due to Covid should of been a nightmare but Mark was constantly in contact with us giving us updates. When we finally went to pick up the vehicle Marks professional relaxed manner made the purchase seamless. But more importantly for us it has been the after sales service we have received. Morrell Motors don't just sell you a new car and forget about you. We are more than happy to drive through from Hawkes Bay to Taupo to have our card serviced. The service department are more than accommodating and know we are out of town and provide any work being done in a timely manner so we can continue with our travels. A big thank you to Mark and his team.
Both Tony and I are very impressed with our new Subaru Outback - the presentation that Mark gave us during those couple of hours on Saturday morning was much appreciated. I am gradually mastering the technological side! The drive back to Taradale in the rain and fog was easy. Only once have I been told by the car to keep my eyes on the road, and that was as I drove very slowly down a driveway looking at our granddaughters ponies in their paddock!! Throughout our contact with Mark, we have been taken by the friendliness and professionalism that he portrayed in his communication. We look forward to dealing with your garage going forward. A huge thank you for the lovely hamper that we found in the back of our Subaru Outback – the first time we have ever received a hamper when buying a car!! Tony and Joss Morrin
