Ok where to start - the spot is nestled in an unassuming industrial area, brightly painted exterior but is almost easy to miss if you're moving too quickly. You walk into the cafe and the first thing you see are the options in the display cabinet, slightly glowing - similar to what I imagine its like when opening the doors to heaven! There are tonnes of vegetarian options and as a non-vegetarian myself - I was looking more at the vegetarian options than the rest. I started with a salad which was packed to the brim with seasoned rice, cauliflour, avo, haloumi and other salady stuff..... I then went for a slice of the vegetarian pizza which was out the frickin gate good!!!..... then I went back for the pulled brisket sando - this is where I think this cafe truly won me over. The lady behind the counter asked if I wanted the sandwich toasted or fresh, I said fresh - she then explained that the brisket is better if its warm so the fat from the meat can soak through the bread and combine the flavours in the sandwich. I appreciate that she was passionate enough about this sandwich that she needed me to envision what she had envisioned when making it! Aaaand she was 10000% correct, the sandwich HAD to be toasted, it was so good it almost made me bark. This place is a hidden gem and has been well thought out from entrance to exit - the finer details in this cafe really shine. I live 30 minutes away from here but will be travelling back as much as possible - there are not many cafes that I've been to where I wanted to try everything on the menu. 10/10 service, 100/10 food, 1/10 for the parking but the food is so good I'd consider double parking and getting a ticket.

So this my regular café, and I happened to mention how much I like pumpkin pie, but it's not really a thing in NZ. Next thing, they made a pumpkin pie - best I have ever had. With excellent coffee of course.nThanks all. Delicious.!!

This little gem of a place always delights. The same gorgeous food as found at Seashore Cabaret without the sometime bustle. That olive/pesto brioche is still the best anywhere as is the halloumi beetroot toasted ciabatta and perfect coffee. Someone was even grinding some while I was in the queue - heaven!nnIt is in an industrial area, but tastefully decorated and the outdoor back space allows a shift of feel.

Love the sister cafe in Petone and this is no different. Service with a smile, great coffee, loads of keto and veg options available and most of all, brilliant indoor and outdoor seating available. There is also a couple of 15min parks right in front for a quick turnaround. Lots of free street parking available too if you plan to eat in.
