Providing mindfulness and wellbeing courses, workshops, and retreats to groups and workplaces in North Canterbury. Based in cutting edge science, neuroscience and ancient wisdom practices.
Professional, based in science facilitated with heart
Hi my name is Kate and I am really excited to be offering mindfulness courses, workshops and retreats in Rangiora and all over North Canterbury.
Mindfulness is a fundamental part of my life and infuses every part, imperfectly, with difficulty at times and ease at others, but it is always there. Even if it is the awareness that I am not being at all mindful! I have a daily meditation practice, attend regular meditation and mindful living retreats and have done personal development work with mindfulness therapists. It is a value of mine not to teach anything that I am not willing to experience myself, allowing me to teach with authenticity and compassion.
I have completed and continue to do ongoing training in teaching mindfulness: including Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through “Openground’’. I am supported to teach by experienced mindfulness teachers from around the world.
I am also a registered mental health nurse who specialises in addictions and holistic approaches (integrating body, mind and spirit for wellbeing using a number of modalities) including training in naturopathy, nutrition and massage.
My passion is in the integration of ancient wisdom with modern day neuroscience. Thus uniting the art and science of supporting people to discover their own source of wisdom, wellbeing and healing; connecting with their own “inner teacher”.
I am grateful to the many mindfulness teachers in my life that include the animals and non-human beings and nature around me.
Please get in contact if you want more information or have any ideas or requests for mindfulness based activities or courses you would like.
