Story

Methven Travel is a travel and tourism service which offers a wide range of transport options such as shuttles, "ski bus,"airport transfers, rental cars and charter buses for Christchurch, Methven and Mount Hutt.

SKI BUSES:
Methven to Mt Hutt

Daily Services: $20.00 (Return), 'Kids 4 Free' deal available (subject to conditions of one free child per full paying adult).

Departs Methven: 7:45am, 9:45am - Daily
Departs Methven: 11:30am* - Subject to prior bookings & available seats
Departs Mt Hutt: 1:00pm* - Subject to prior bookings & available seats
Departs Mt Hutt: 3:00pm and 4:15pm - Daily

How to Book:

Bookable 24 hours online for 7:45am, 9:45am services, or
Purchase a ticket from the office at least 10 minutes prior to travel.
Return services from Mt Hutt ensure all clients that Methven Travel transported up are returned.

*For the 11:30am and 1:00pm ski buses, bookings are required by 5pm the day prior or we may choose not to run the service. If the 11:30am and 1:00pm services have bookings, the online booking system will be open for further bookings up until 30 minutes prior to departure.

Pick Up Points:
- Deans Ave Car Park - Includes Free parking - 7.10am
- Opposite Hornby McDonalds - 7.20am
- Rolly Inn Rolleston - 7.35am


Departs Mt Hutt Ski Area to Christchurch: 4:00pm

Bus picked us up from front of our hotel each morning always on time, and left the mt hut ski area on time, thankfully the driver knew the roads,
Easiest way to get up and down the mountain. Friendly staff, on time, lets you short cut round the cars queued at the chain fitting area, dropped off right at top of the mountain car park. Made a great day easy. Make sure you book a table at one of the pubs so you can grab a meal and beer when you come back down to Methven, they get busy
Methven travel made it super easy and simple to get up and down the mountain. Easy online booking, very reasonable price and helpful drivers. Deserves all five stars!

Very friendly bus drivers. My 4 years old loves chatting to the drivers he thinks it’s the coolest job. Mark and Greg especially are the most kind and reliable drivers. Friendly receptionist as well. Hope you could update website booking system though so we could book 3 days at once instead of 3 separate bookings.

Excellent service and communication. We pre booked the bus service on multiple days to get up Mt Hutt and when the mountain was shut they were in touch immediately with options. Would use again and recommend.
Excellent service. The drivers are extremely experienced and skilled when it comes to navigating the narrow, icy roads leading up to and departing Mt Hutt. The drivers were on time, very helpful and service driven
