Great location for a nice dessert and stroll around the wharfs. Plentiful selection of ice creams and sorbets. They also make shakes and other treats. The honey pokey ice cream brought back nice childhood memories. The staff were very nice and helped me decide with a sampler.
Meh. Slow despite two people on, but only one person making the drinks and working the register. I was better off going to Ben and Jerry’s across the road
Absolutely terrible service. We walked in and I said hello to the guy and 2 gilrs behind the counter. No relply, just a blank stare from the guy. My husband said hello. Again nothing. In actual fact, the guy then turned around and went into the back room!!!! One of the 2 ladies ended up helping us. Again no greeting. Is this how Kiwis treat people? Keeping in mind how many foreigners would visit this place location, definitely NOT service and this is how we treat the people who boost our economy?! PATHETIC!
Service on Saturday 4th Feb at 4.45 pm was very average. The lady was slow and sullen and rude. Service is worth 1 star because I received my product. The sorbet was good but so disappointed that this is how tourists will see NZ service. The service was so below standard I would not come back.
Kids were excited to have real fruit ice creams.. unfortunately they didn't have any fruit on a Saturday with a cruise ship right around the corner. Asked if they did iced coffees, nope. The lady barely cracked a smile and looked like she was having a miserable start to the day.. customer service goes a long way and let me say that we were the only ones in the shop so you can't pull the busy card. It was dead as a dodo
The shake was great tasting but was less icecream and more milk than I would have wanted. It ended up being really thin. The straw was also made it paper, so it was deteriorating quite quickly and becoming soft and mushy. I would have preferred even knew I'd the disposable bamboo straws. Overall it was okay, but probably wouldn't return here over other options.
ice cream was so yum and the customer service was 10/10, will definitely going back. The 2 girls working were so lovely and efficient!!!
Needed dessert after dinner so came by here since it was close by and we wanted ice cream. Apart from ice cream they also have other hot or cold desserts that is served with ice cream. I tried the cinnamon chimney cone since it looked quite interesting. They do have tastings if you weren't sure which ice cream flavour to go with. The decor inside is quite interesting. There are bikes on one side and a sand pit on the other, complete with toys. The tables also had board games on them. It is quite a nice place to just sit and enjoy your dessert.
A good place to have a rest and ice-cream after the walk from Silo Park to the wharf. Lovely atmosphere and setting. We visited at 1:30pm on Sunday but only two staffs working in the shop. A long queue waiting to be serve.
The ice cream dessert with a selection of pastry plus ice cream was really nice. It looked heavenly. I especially liked my order which was espresso ice cream with coffee cake. My partner had the mango cheesecake with passion fruit ice cream. We both love the passion fruit ice cream but was not really into the cheesecake. The base was a little bit too frozen to be broken. Staff were all friendly and nice.
