One word.. AMAZING! Yesterday I went to Akobe to show some photos of what I wanted. The lady at the front desk was so lovely and helpful! She took her time to explain what it would cost and take to get what I wanted. She booked me in for an appointment today and I am so so happy that I finally found a hair salon that I am looking forward going back to! It was such a lovely and relaxing experience! I am in love with my hair, thank you so much for this morning!

Lovely little salon in Hornby, Christchurch with free parking. Experts in all things blonde. Very busy so book ahead and rebook ahead. They also work with rich browns and brunette, curls, short cuts and also men's cut. Highly recommend.

Amber has done an excellent job of styling, cutting and coloring my hair, I'm really happy with it, my scalp massage was just so good too, who says one has to go grey naturally, the color I have walked out with is amazing. Went for a cut and style this week, I couldn't have Lani sadly, as she has left so had Kate, the cut wasn't as good as I hoped, but it will grow out, the prices for Lani's client are being increased, mine increasing by $45 to $50 which I find hard for them to justify that amount, but I was told Lani was under pricing , I have been going there for over a year with no mention of this, if this was the case management should have contacted clients to explain the increase. I’ve just had the best hair experience of my 36 years of life at this salon. Stylist Faith has given me the blonde I’ve always wanted but never quite had. We achieved it in two sessions, 12 weeks apart, so as not to damage my hair and it was worth the wait. I love the shaping she did around my face also, and I appreciated that she gave her professional opinion on what would look best when I was unsure. I’ve been to “fancier” salons in the past, but I’d rather have an amazing end result than be treated to superfluous cappuccinos and magazines. Bring a good book and prepare to look fabulous!

My poor cousin was left with unsatisfied service. She was upset and the bangs were left butchered. Absolutely disgraceful, won’t recommend this place.

Pretty good! Price was generally affordable. My hairdresser Lani was quite well trained. She was friendly and somewhat talkative but mostly just got the job done. End result I got a haircut from long to short was a little different than the photo I came in with, but with most hairdresser, she made certain adjustments according to her judgement. I'm pretty satisfied! Generally pretty ok!
