I've been going to McHughs for many years. The restaurant has always been pristine. The food is excellent and is great value for money. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The atmosphere is lovely and they have exceptional views of Rangitoto. I highly recommend to all.

Took parents here for their 40th wedding anniversary 2years ago. Such a great atmosphere. Beautiful view of the ocean, & so quiet. We were the only ones there and plenty to eat.
We had my mum's 90th and everything was perfect. James and the team went beyond expectations and provided us with an unforgettable experience. The food, setting, service and staff were all excellent and we'll continue to frequent McHughs at every possible occasion. Thanks again James and team. Des Ryan.
Lovely views. We booked for a staff function with a fixed buffet menu which was good food and plenty to eat. Not sure what the atmosphere is like usually as it has a bit of an RSA "hall" feel but it seems popular.
Had my parent's 60th Wedding Anniversary at McHugh's 3 weeks ago. James and the team were exceptional to deal with. The food was amazing. All 70 people who attended are still talking about the great night we had.
Took my team from work for a Christmas lunch and it was ideal. Loved the location, great service and the buffet selection was great. Definitely a great option for group booking and the team all had a good time
Lovely setting, buffet was enjoyed bumy all the party covering all tastes. Most pleasant time.
