It is a nice spot for a Middle Eastern and Persian food in a cosy Devonport setting. The portions are good.nThe owners and staff are warm, welcoming and genuinely make you feel like a guest in their home. Service is attentive without being pushy, and they are happy to explain the dishes or accommodate preferences where they can. While the service is a bit slow and could be much faster.nThe food is ok and relatively good. There is room for improvement in terms of taste.nPrices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size, so it feels like great value.

Akdeniz was our first Persian restaurant experience, and we will definitely be back to try more of their appetizers. We visited for lunch on a Sunday, and it wasn’t too busy. Our food arrived in under 10 minutes, which was impressive.nnWe ordered a selection of appetizers along with the King Plate, which offered a variety of delicious meats paired with generous portions of bread. The bread was crusty on the outside yet soft on the inside—really enjoyable.nnTip: Add a dip appetizer, as the King Plate doesn’t come with a sauce. The eggplant dip we ordered made a big difference and complemented the meats perfectly.nnOverall, it was a hearty feast, and the portions were more than enough for two people—we even took some leftovers home. The staff were attentive and accommodating, making the experience even better.nnA great meal overall. Thank you, and we’ll definitely be back!

On Holiday from Perth, Western Australia. We dropped in for Coffee & cake in the cute cafe section out the back. Great coffee, awesome Turkish Delight…….but the Baklava was the BEST I’ve ever eaten. Absolutely perfect.

Stopped by this Iranian spot in Devonport and was blown away by the kebabs — juicy, perfectly grilled, and full of flavour. The koobideh and chicken skewers were especially good, served with saffron rice and fresh herbs. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere made it even better. Highly recommend if you're craving authentic Persian kebabs!

Alireza jaan you took me back to Tehran with the delicious food and Persian music. The Ghormeh Sabzi was to die for. As good as the best in Tehran. And joojeh kebab….juicy and tender. Thanks for the great time we had.
