Well I'm not eating the food here, being celiac and low-carb, but my 4-year-old is obliterating this cupful of chips with aioli and saying "thankyou for buying me chips" so that's awesome. So I'm sure he would give this place 5 stars, hence the rating. Oh and my coffee was good and hot, which is a big plus, given that many establishments serve lukewarm beverages these days.
Was our always stop in when kids through too teenagers. Pretty sure the owners probably are new since then. Nice place to stop for a bite. Plenty of options. Prices are on the high side. But that's everywhere these days and times.Food: 4/5
Great little place to stop for food and beverages on the way to road trip. Coffee and food were OK. Quick service. No bathroom in store though. Just have to walk to public toilets which not too far from the shop.
Had mutton pie and ginger loaf. Pie was not my style which was too peppery and greasy and the pastry was a bit hard. Ginger loaf was a bit dry.
Nice stop to get some food and coffee, very friendly staff. Clean premises. Pies and sandwiches were yummy. Definitely a place to stop on a long car rideFood: 5/5
I have been stopping at McGregors Bakery since the 1970's, literally. My mother used to stop when I was a baby. So I guess I have been a customer basically since 1971 onwards. Pies are the same, not as gresey as they used to be. Healthier choices now, much more to choose from in other shops in Palmerston altogether now. The Gold mine and Farmers are having a great effect on the township. At least they are adding to their community.
OVERPRICED! 3 Tiny dried up cheese rolls, 2 buns and 2 powerade drinks cost $35..admittingly a 10%surcharge for public holiday. But that is still a ridiculous price. Buns were flavorless...but fresh..so minor win.
Lovely ladies with fantastic smiles, loved the variety of hot/cold food, sweets/cakes/biscuits to. Clean and tidy. This will be our go to place. Parking: First in first served loads of public parking
The mutton pie was a big dissapointment A lump of fatty minced meat in a dry pastry shell with too much pepper in it. Could not taste any mutton No gravy at allFood: 1/5
Easy place to stop for a driving break in Palmerston. Good selection of basic hot and cold cabinet foods that will fill the gap.
