Picked up order went back to the campground. Found our two Big Macs, were only half filled. The bottom layer was fine. The second layer just had a meat patty, no sauce, cheese or salad. Bland and dry we are very disappointed to be on holiday, and from out of town. We are rarely buy takeaways we were looking forward to our dinner.
Much like all of the fast food places in Whakatane the service and food can be a bit of a hit and miss.nnThe one consistent thing is that the place is clean.nFries can range from perfect to cold and half filled.nBurgers can range from perfect to slapped together by someone that has clearly lost the will to try. Couple of times it looked like it came out of a bin.nService tends to be better on the weekends that weekdaysnStaff tend to not know what to do when you say thank you. A simple you’re welcome or all good would be great.nnLook it’s a maccas and still heaps better than BK or KFC all in the same corner of Whakatane.
When 1st time going there at night , the lady's in there are talking especially manager , they look tired and angry and sweaty, understand it very busy , but when I come return a wrong order the girl turned to the manager and the manager looked at me & said loud I don't want to here it and kept on working hard , I was quiet offended 2nd & 3rd time during morning hours is really Good took 1hr to get meals alot of uninformed people walking back and forth from counter , it's kind of what you expect from fastfood places .

Went thru the drive thru this morning at my tea break, was asked to park up while my order was processed and then when we got back to work noticed that they had missed an item... didn't miss charging me for it. How often does this happen I wonder? Lesson learnt.... will take the extra few seconds that they didn't to check my order before leaving.
