The food quality from this place is fantastic but at this point I’m so over getting the wrong order. 8/10 times when I walk in there I receive the wrong burger burger is not even close to what I ordered. Everyone is always so unhappy in there too it’s like walking into a funeral home.
Absolute terrible service from the American lady at the drive through when I ordered a coffee. She treated me like I was a 2 year old! Normally the service is great. I thought McDonalds prided themselves on great customer service. Obviously not.! I teach early morning classes and look forward to my morning coffee on the way to my next class. Highly dissatisfied
I usually find the McDonald’s Rolleston to be very consistent, which is why this morning stood out so much.nnI order the same coffee every day, and across other McDonald’s locations it’s always made the same way. Unfortunately today was a completely different experience. The first coffee was cold, missing the extra shot, and didn’t include the three sweeteners I’d paid for.nnI went back around and asked for it to be fixed. The second one was watery, still missing the extra shot and sweeteners. After that, I was told it would be remade again, but the third coffee was again cold and still missing the sweeteners.nnThroughout the whole process, the service was quite rude, which made the situation even more frustrating. In the end, I asked for a refund and went to another store. Even then, the refund wasn’t correct and didn’t include the extra amount I’d paid for the added shot. Pretty disappointing experience, especially given how consistent this location usually is.
Rudest customer service. Went through drive through around 2pm today. When I entered the line there was no cars. When told by a girl at the speaker box to wait I waited. Two cars came in another line placed order and when I kept on saying hello to the speaker still was told to wait. Then when the boy took our order I asked him why I had to wait and other cars came and went he said I am rude ro ask that. When I reached to pick up windows. Spoke to two managers there. Both giving evil eyes and said it was my fault for going in the slower line. I told them they should have put a sign in fornt which line is faster and which one is slower and have to wait for 10minz to order even when there is no cars. Both managers didnt even apologized. All I needed was a answer why I wasn't served on time and why they dont have a sign in front regarding the lines. They shut the window on me and said get lost from here. Because of them I was late to go pick my child up from school.
My family and I visit the drive-through once or twice a month and the service has always been good. Two lanes and friendly staff, prices are always cheaper when buying directly from McDonalds, compared to Doordash or Uber Eats etc. There can be queues during peak times or pay days, other than that it was fine. Based on our drive-through experience only, I would give it 3 stars to be fair and review this as neutral, as we have never gone inside. There is plenty of parking for customers who go in and sit.
