Ordered and paid for DOUBLE Quarter Pounder. Got home to find this. Too late and too far to go back. Not the first time that we'd missed items here either. We check every box now. Maybe i need to check inside each box?! There aren't many alternatives in Paeroa after 9pm so this is last resort . Very poor.
If there were an award for Most Biohazardous Fast Food Establishment, McDonald’s Paeroa would take the gold. Walking in, I was immediately swarmed by flies—and not just the odd one or two, but a full-blown plague of buzzing filth that made me wonder if I’d accidentally stepped into an abandoned dumpster rather than a restaurant. The tables? Coated in grime, sticky residue, and enough leftover food scraps to sustain a small ecosystem. The floors? An absolute minefield of filth, where dropped food had seemingly fused with the tiles, forming a grotesque new species of McDebris.nnOne particular table was so neglected that the onions had been there long enough to start sprouting roots—nature truly is amazing. At this point, I was genuinely considering wearing a biohazard suit to protect myself from whatever microbial horrors were lurking on every surface.nnService-wise, things were just as appalling. We ordered table service and delivery, which apparently translates to “Here’s a takeaway bag, now figure it out yourself.” Drinks? MIA. When I finally had to go on a quest to retrieve them, I was fed the classic excuse: “The tea took time.” Yes, because dipping a tea bag into hot water is an incredibly advanced procedure requiring years of specialized training.nnAnd table service? Forgotten. Completely. If I wanted to fetch my own meal, I’d have gone through the drive-thru and eaten in my car, which, frankly, would have been a much cleaner experience.nnIn summary, McDonald’s Paeroa is less of a restaurant and more of a pest-infested petri dish of neglect. If you have a strong immune system and enjoy dining alongside swarms of flies on tables that haven't seen a cleaning cloth since the Stone Age, then by all means, visit. Otherwise, run. Run far, far away.
Sat in Drive through for 23 minutes before getting to the speaker box. No more than 8 cars. Was surprised to be sent straight to the wait bay. 15min later and I'm still in the wait bay. The longest drive thru wait I have EVER experienced
Honestly it's just a McDonald's, however each McDonald's can vary quite a bit I guess by management. Atmosphere doesn't apply here as it's not really possible to have an 'atmosphere' in a McDonald's in my opinion. I went through the drive through, the service was excellent as was the food.
I order meals with some changes, lady was nice at the counter, get to the table, saw that I didn't get what I asked for, came back and lady from kitchen was yelling that she did it good. I asked no onion because my wife is allergic, she said there is no any in it. Wanted to show her that there is but she finally decided to do a new one. Went back to table and saw again a mistake. She didn't put cheese this time. Is it so hard to read the label? Never going there again
