I normally wouldn't bother commenting about products and service but our experience at Matamata McDonald's today, just after mid-day was that good that I thought I would share a quick review. Firstly, the lady running the drive thru ordering was friendly, clear and repeated our order perfectly. Secondly, the food was neatly packed in the bag, same with the drinks with the correct amount of straws. Thirdly, the food was fresh and tasty. Our Sundaes were presented beautifully and tasted even better. Again, another lady at the second window was unflusted and hospitable. The whole process from ordering, payment and meal deliver only took a few minutes. By far the fastest MD drive thru I have been through in the last few years. All drinks had the perfect amount of ice with the drinks tasting great. The ice actually lasted the hour drive back to Hamilton Lol. The fries were perfect along with the burgers and nuggets. Overall It was a refreshing experience after many years of poor service in some of the main centres. Awesome Matamata McDonald's. We will definitely be back.
Stopped for flat white 8 am Sunday while staff were pleasant. It was 15 minutes to get my coffee despite only 2 other customers. Was pretty cross to find my flat white was half a cup of milk fluff. It was t worthwhile turning around and going back. Nearly $5 for 1/3 cup of coffee has really pissed me off
When I travel from Auckland to Tauranga I sometimes stop and get lunch here. This time the chicken on my double chicken burger was rubbery and the lettuce was going brown. Definitely not fresh. Won't bother stopping here anymore. It used to be good this place but from other reviews I have read there are some serious leadership problems with the quality of the food
Visited at 1145pm..nUnable to get a big Mac or cheese burger because they had run out of patties.nGot a quarter pounder and a McChicken.. both were piping hot and delicious.nFries were a little on the cold side.
Walk in 16/05/2024. Received my food order a 9.03, waited until 9.25 to get my coffee ordered the same time as my food.nI asked at the counter 4 times over that time. Finally I got my drink luke warm and bearly 3/4 of the cup full to go with my food that was also cold by that time.nWon't be back !
