Matamata KFC

10 years since I gave matamata KFC a go after a 45 minute wait in the drive thru. Slightly better tonight with only a 25 minute wait. See you again in another 10 years.

Called into drive thru with my Dad who's 89. One lot of chips were missing from my order and no straws were provided for our drinks. After reading reviews of the drive thru service - and our own experience of "service" we won't be back.

They dont seem to change the oil often which leaves the chicken dark brown and taste like burnt chicken. Even if chicken is freshly cooked

Good value we had for tea, the tower burger was awesome and had a slider with popcorn chicken and chips

Absolutely pathetic and incompetent service. Took forever to order a meal even though I was second in the [growing] line. No teamwork. The manager should have intervened and/assisted the failing service but did not. Will never visit here again.

Good place and for once a kfc which got my order right but longer wait time than normal.

Our first experience wasn't 100% positive but management addressed the issue and we have been back this evening and really enjoyed our meal. We would recommend KFC matamata as a family friendly place to try.
