Perfect tasting experience with Lewis at Maude. He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate but not wanky.nWe didn’t book and quickly popped in right when they opened, they squeezed us in for a tasting of 7 wines from their multiple vineyards in Otago.nTheir Pinot Noir selection was unbelievable, and we took a couple of bottles home with us which were very reasonably priced for the quality.nWe sat in the sun on an outdoor table overlooking the mountains and lake, and it was a dream.nThanks for having us!

The hospitality was excellent — we comfortably waited in the restaurant before starting.nThe tasting began with their sparkling wine, often referred to as their “house champagne,” and ended beautifully with the rosé.nThe wines were presented with great clarity, the terroir is outstanding, and Lewis explained everything brilliantly. He answered all our questions with ease, shared figures, stories, and technical insights — he truly knows his craft.nProfessional, cheerful, witty, and full of energy, he created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout.nA true enthusiast whom I sincerely thank for his positivity, and I wish him all the best in his future adventures!
Amazing tasting experience! Lewis and the whole team were phenomenal and super knowledgeable. The wines were so great and so unique to the Otago region - sitting on their terrace having a glass of wine looking over the mountains and lake was a highlight. Couldn’t recommend more!
