Story

Our award winning cafe is located at the start of the Lake Matheson walkway near Fox Glacier village. It has great views of Mt Cook and Mt Tasman. Breakfast, lunch and gourmet pizzas are on blackboard menus and change to suit seasonal ingredients. Deli style sandwiches, cakes, pies, cookies, salads etc are in our counter display cabinets, and all products are made on site. Evening dining is available Nov - Mar. Open daily from 8am until late November - March, and 8am until 4pm April - October.

ReflectioNZ Gallery next door showcases carefully selected, contemporary merchandise with a New Zealand flavour - NZ themed jewellery, designer merino garments, greenstone & souvenirs, New Zealand artwork & photos. Overseas shipping available.

A trip to Lake Matheson is a must for all visitors to Fox Glacier. Lake Matheson, one of NZ's greatest scenic icons, is renowned for it's stunning reflections of Aoraki/Mt Cook and Mt Tasman.

Seeing Lake Matheson at Fox Glacier is worth though not having a clear sky to see the magnificient view of Mt. Cook and Tasman mirroring at Lake Matheson. So beautiful. Spare some time to enjoy the view. Worth to walk the tracks to see its beauty.
Very quaint cafe with very good food. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with Salmon on bagel and the Lamb Salad with Roast Veg. Presentation is rustically placed and portion is more than enough to fill you up. Coffee is pretty nice also.
I must tell you that this Cafe does the most amazing food, we had salad, ramen chicken and coffee.... but the ginger slice... oh my f^n Lord they bake the G.O.A.T mouth watering, taste bud juicing ginger slice e-v-e-r. You must go here, make the effort, it's not far from the main road. You can thank me later when your drooling stops.
Fantastic breakfast best views of Mount Tasman and Mount Cook so far will definitely be back. Recommend this place 100 percent.
