Werent warned there were HUGE delays on food. Over a 1h 45min wait for 2 chicken burgers and mushrooms. Restaurant was only half full, and yet when they came out, there was no word of apology. And the burgers were the saddest ones ever. So tiny, cheeseburger size, and one super thin piece of chicken that didn't cover the burger and one piece of lettuce & a little mayo. There were only 3 mushrooms cut in half, such a small plate, although they did taste lovely.
steak asked for medium but like well done and overall is not very satisfying but it's Christmas Eve and good to have a place to dine out
Omgoodness the service by the young lady serving us was outstanding... made us the best milk shakes and the lunch was amazing... every one needs to go there...
Previous reviews for this place are mixed but our experience was flawless. Considering Fox is just a small place, the selection of food and drinks were very good and priced fairly. The cafe was quiet and we had prompt and friendly service. There was even a warm open fire to cozy up to. Would happily stop in again.
Had a lovely dinner at the Cook Saddle Cafe and Saloon, the service was excellent- Claudia was attentive and a great conversationalist. The vegetarian burger was phenomenal! Compliments to the chef/s it was one of the best veg burgs I have had in a long time. Would dine in again in a heartbeat.
Had dinner 2 days back to back here including my 10 year anniversary dinner. Warm cozy place. The best seafood chowder I ever had. It was a chef special, not on regular menu though. Saw 2 Keas outside in the evening.

Quality food options. Home made soups and more. Yummy sweet vegan balls. So good I bought 2 more to take home. There must be a good cook here!
Great food with nice service. Perfect option needed a Gluten Free meal. They have a seperate frier so safe for anyone with coeliac disease. Both my mum and I were able to eat here no problem.
Not very good service. My order was incorrect; I was charged for two meals instead of one, and the woman serving me just said to eat them both with no apology or refund. On our table all who ordered pies, the pies were cold in the middle. The pies are excellent however.Food: 3/5
