Really lovely motel, a wee walk from the Main Street in Murchison so really lovely and quiet with a rural outlook. The room was immaculate and well appointed with comfortable beds. The owners were very friendly and helpful. There had been a mix-up with our booking and we were very happy with how it was resolved. Less than a 5 minute walk to the main road where we headed for dinner. Grateful not to have trucks rumbling past all night. Very happy with our stay here and will definitely return.
Very clean, very roomy and a fab place to stay in Murchison. Had plugs for all our phones right next to the beds, that is rare and delightfull. Would recommend any day.Rooms: 5/5
Immaculate complex and rooms. Excellent value and would stay again. Modern ensuite, room just a bit small. Maybe didn't need the extra bed taking up space. Met a local eel at the creek. Nice and quiet. Comfy bedRooms: 4/5
Called in to visit people, but didn't go into the rooms...was pleasantly surprised about the ambience of the place, with a creek running thru the grounds that has been turned into water feature...soooo stunning & private...the people running the place are helpful with all & any queries...it was a pleasure meeting them...Service: 5/5
The room was all I needed as all I wanted was an overnight stop on a long journey. The room was great value for what it was. It was small, clean and very basic. The motel was in a side street well off the main road in small town NZ lots of motels are on the main road, these can have trucks thundering along all night and I did not hear any traffic that is a major bonus +++ from me. In the room there was a kettle, microwave, crockery and cutlery and a table with two chairs. The bed was comfortable. Pillows are a very personal thing. If they are an issue with you carry your own. The fridge was a small bar fridge. The kettle worked, I had planned, and did eat out for tea and breakfast. The room was old fashioned. To fill the kettle you had to use a tap in the bathroom. The owner had put an oil column heater on was a very cold night and the room was very hot. I could have stripped down to shorts and a t-shirt. I did turn the heating down a lot.
It's a great place to stay say hi to Bill from me. Nearby activities: Walks jet boat ride and the cow shed great pizza Safety: 400 people's in town lovely Walkability: 2 min to everywhere Food & drinks: Tried the Cow Shed yummy
Well located to the town. 5 minute walk gets you to every eating place and pub.Rooms: 4/5
