Nice weekend market with plenty of food options. Particularly loved the oysters. The traffic during the drive there from Auckland city was quite bad but the trip was worth it. There is also a dog sitting area that allow pooches to mingle which was amazing!
It was on my bucket list for the weekend. Really wanted to go for the Sunday market but due to the weather it was cancelled. Not to worry I went for breakfast instead and was not disappointed Flounder and eggs and a side of polenta chips and I rolled out of there and had a lovely walk around the shops afterwards.
Great escape for many Aucklanders with only a hour away. Great produce like cheese, wine, honey, chocolate, bread, chutneys, gin, wine, sausages, arts and craft shopping. Eateries also nice around the village. Short drive to Omaha beach as well makinh an ideal day out to go in the morning and spend day at the beach after.
Nice, clean farmers market but a bit small. Some nice food items. Love the pet sitting service booth.
Located just an hour's drive away from Auckland, the Matakana Village Farmers' Market offers a splendid escape with its breathtaking views and bustling market filled with an array of scrumptious food. It is also in close proximity to Omaha beach, and visitors can take advantage of the market's serene riverside location to relax and savor a cup of coffee.
Best farmers market in Auckland, with alot of local products to try. Highly recommend
Nice place to go to at the weekend and get the vibe of farmer market
Cute little village and clean public toilet, but watch out for the ducks crossing the road. Comfortable cinema for when the grandchildren are bored and it rains.
Worried this place would be overrated but all the food was fresh, delicious and huge! Had 6 large for $18 that were so good, we ordered it 4 times. We saw people carrying giant that were super bright red but they ran out by the time we tried to get some . The turmeric and lime super tonics at a stall were really refreshing and tasty plus great nutritional benefits! Beef burrito bowl and nachos were really good as well. Salmon bagel was the best though, definitely recommend this! Loved this market. So much food to try and super friendly people.
Always, a great place to grab a coffee, sone bread and other yummy food for a late lunch or platter later. Good vibes with music playing. A good time to look at all the gorgeous shops in the precinct too.
